April is National Poetry Month, and in honor of that, I wanted to share a poem with you all; written by my dear friend Jon Podell when he was very sick & nearing the end of his life.
"Connection" by Jon Podell
7 billion people
One round planet
So much separation
Religion, gender, economics
All excuses
To create space
Connection is the universal energy
It’s the spark
The laugh
The look
The touch
When humans collide
Despair becomes hope
Joy awakens
The spirit breathes
The world rejoices
Where do we lose it?
How do we regain it?
We are all the same
Connection is the human gravity
Where humans spin around love
It’s available
But rarely accessed
Only with connection
Can love and hope thrive
Throughout the course of our lives, we make connections with so many people. At times, those are just passing connections, but, you will also build lifelong connections with people who were once complete strangers.
I’ve had the honor and privilege of making deep connections with so many individuals, many of whom began as clients. That’s one of the amazing things that I love about my job. My clients truly become family and I am invested and connected with them for a lifetime.
Xoxo, Sara
