If you’ve lived in San Francisco for a while, you likely know about the Stern Grove Festival. If you are new to the area, or planning to visit this summer, you might not know about it … yet.
Stern Grove is a stunningly gorgeous outdoor park and amphitheater nestled between 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco.
Every summer, the Stern Grove Festival hosts an incredible lineup of free concerts each Sunday. There are a wide variety of performances ranging from amazing indie bands, to Motown favorites, to ballet performances and everything in between.
If you haven’t made it out to Stern Grove for one of their concerts, there’s no time like the present. Check out their summer lineup below and then make plans to take in a show (or two!).

If you are planning to attend a concert this summer, we recommend bringing a blanket or some chairs to relax in, as there is lawn seating. You are encouraged to bring along a picnic lunch or you may also purchase food at one of the food trucks on-site.
