This unique bike relay race is hosted by Clif Bar and involves one bike and four riders all working together to traverse a.6-mile obstacle course and have fun. Any level of racer is welcomed and team themes and costumes are encouraged.
Teams are classified by skill level and include Coasters (beginners), Toasters (intermediate) and Roasters (advanced riders). No matter the skill level, this race will prove to be exciting and unpredictable as teams resplendent in their costumes jump, fly, skid and well, scramble around the crazy course. Seriously, what's not to love about such a wild ride?
After the wild race is over, join the festival complete with food, drink and live music. Some of the Bay Area's best food trucks will be at the event serving hearty meals to fit everyone's taste. Lagunitas Brewing Company and Cliff family Winery will be pouring ales and wine and Portgual, The Man will entertain festival goers and racer participants with a live concert.
The Clif Bar Cykel Scramble takes place at the Marin County Fairgrounds in San Rafael on Saturday, September 24th from 8am to 7pm.
