10 Things To Do While Social Distancing

Our everyday lives have changed significantly over the last week or so. We are finding ourselves living a new normal, one where social gatherings are prohibited and many of our favorite local places (hair salons, gyms, movie theaters, etc.) are closed for the foreseeable future.

Things will reopen eventually and our lives will slowly return to normal, but in the meantime, we wanted to share a list of fun things to do while you are practicing safe social distancing.

  • Take an online fitness class. Many instructors are offering free online classes via Instagram Live or YouTube. If you are interested in a paid service, Peloton and BeachBody offer a wide variety of classes.

  • Take a virtual tour of a National Park via Google Earth.

  • If you are working from home, make sure to create a designated workspace to set you up for success. An official workspace can help increase your productivity and help to eliminate distractions

  • Get outdoors and go for a walk or hike. Just be sure to stay at least 6 feet away from anyone else you may encounter who is doing the same.

  • Watch a Broadway play for free.

  • Learn something new. Pick up a new hobby, learn a new language or take an online class.

  • Check on your family and friends. Call, text or email family and friends to see how they are doing. This can be an anxious and isolating time for many, and hearing from you may just be exactly what they need.

  • Hold a virtual friends night. Gather your friends and hop on a Zoom, Skype or Facetime call.

  • Reinstate Family Board Game Night.

  • Dance it out. Put on some music and have a dance party right at home. If you need some inspiration, head on over to TIkTok and learn a new dance or two.

Have you discovered something wonderful that isn’t on this list? Drop us a comment and let us know! We would love to be able to add to this list and help keep everyone busy over these next few weeks.

We can’t wait to see many of you in person once we have conquered this global pandemic. In the meantime, please stay positive, continue to love on your people (through phone calls, Facetime, etc.) and support the small businesses in your community if you can.

Sending lots of love to you and yours,

Sara & Franck
