Self Care at the Spa
Let’s talk about self care for a minute. Often times, we get so overwhelmed with work, meetings, and life in general that we forget to take some time to care for ourselves.
While self care is so incredibly important for our physical and mental well being, it can look different for everyone. For some, it’s simply curling up and reading their favorite book. For others, it’s meeting friends regularly for a coffee date or happy hour.
For me, it typically involves a day at the spa.
A relaxing massage, a rejuvenating body scrub or a refreshing facial really helps me let go of stress and tension, gives me time to reflect and always leaves me feeling my best and ready to take on whatever life has in store for me.
If you love a fabulous spa as much as I do, I’ve put together a list of my favorites, just for you!
Enjoy!
Nob Hill Spa ( @nob_hill_spa ) | San Francisco - This is one of my favorite places to relax. Their gorgeous infinity pool helps to set the tone, and the peaceful Zen room is the perfect place for a nap or a little quiet reflection. I love to end my time at Nob Hill Spa with lunch on the terrace, basking in the incredible views of the city.
Cavallo Point Healing Arts Center ( @cavallopoint )| Sausalito - This tranquil spa located in the beautiful Marin headlands has so much to offer! Relaxing in the outdoor heated meditation pool and soaking in the gorgeous surroundings is one of the best ways to unwind and release any tension and anxiety that you may have. (Hot Tip: Cavallo Point offers a locals discount Monday - Thursday!)
Rosewood Sense Spa | Menlo Park - If you are looking for a truly incredible massage experience, this is the place! (Bonus - Spa guests also have access to the hotel pool Monday - Thursday!)
Solage Calistoga | Calistoga - Their Signature Mud Baths cleanses, nurtures and restores your body, leaving you feeling relaxed and invigorated. When you visit, make sure to spend some time in Solage Calistoga’s geo-thermal pool.
Evo Spa ( @evospamillvalley ) | Mill Valley - Evo’s massages are truly some of the best massages that I have ever had. No matter the type - Swedish, hot stone or deep tissue - you’re sure to feel stress and tension melt right off of your body, leaving you feeling peaceful and relaxed.
Burke Williams ( @burke_williams) | San Francisco & San Jose - This spa offers some pretty incredible amenities! From the whirpool, to the steam room, to the sauna and showers, be sure to take full advantage of all that Burke Williams has to offer. You can thank me later. ;)
Osmosis ( @osmosisdayspa ) | Freestone, Sonoma County - Osmosis offers a wonderful Cedar Enzyme Bath that is not only relaxing, but also offers a variety of health benefits, including improving circulation and relieving joint & muscle pain. It also leaves your skin feeling silky soft and smooth!
Kwan Dermatology ( @kwandermatology ) | San Francisco - Janine at Kwan Dermatology gives the most incredible facials! My face always looks so much brighter, and feels so much softer after my time with Janine.
I make it a point to take some time out for self care on a regular basis. Sometimes it happens naturally, other times I put it on my calendar. Not only does taking some time for myself help me feel my best, but it also helps me to better serve my clients.
